Greg Kubicek President
Greg Kubicek is a proven real estate developer with decades of experience. He has developed thousands of lots, built and sold nearly 10,000 homes, and built and rehabbed over 3,000 apartments. He grew up in Bakersfield, California, graduating from Harvard College, and spent several years in investment management. Kubicek began developing real estate in 1986. Greg also serves on the board of Redwood Trust (RWT-NYSE), a public mortgage REIT, where he is chair of the audit committee.
Scott Miller Vice President, Head of Acquisitions
Mr. Miller has been with the company since January 2001. Scott has a Bachelor’s degree in Managerial Economics from UC Davis. His previous experience includes property management, acquisition and entitlement issues. Scott heads up the Holt acquisition team, reviewing hundreds of potential acquisitions of subdivisions, apartment projects and other real estate. Through his experience with Holt he has developed a comprehensive knowledge of the real estate market in our fund’s target markets.
Krista Harvill-Sorter CFO
Mrs. Harvill-Sorter has been with the company since May 2000. Krista has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Washington State University. Her previous experience as an accounting manager for a national vocational rehabilitation company has given her a strong background in accounting and financial reporting. While with Holt she has performed every bookkeeping task and worked her way up from senior bookkeeper to Controller to CFO. She has an integral knowledge of the accounting and finances of the company.
Rian Tuttle Site Construction Management, Project Acquisition & Management
Mr. Tuttle joined the company in September 2012. Rian previous ten years experience with Pacific Landmark Development and Robinson Construction included acquisition, project entitlement management, and construction management. He has a wide range of experience within residential and commercial project design, platting and permitting approvals and construction. While taking part in our acquisition team Rian manages the contracting and construction of all project site work.
Megan Tucker Fund Asset Valuations
Ms. Tucker brings over 8 years of financial, managerial and cost accounting experience to the Holt Team. Megan began her accounting career in 2006 after gaining familiarity with the new home construction marketplace while working as a licensed sales agent for a local builder. She has held full-cycle accounting responsibilities within the construction and manufacturing industries, specializing in revenue recognition, forecast auditing and financial report modeling. Ms. Tucker joined the Holt Team in September 2014 to manage the valuation of fund assets and overall fund proformas.
Will Gruner Acquisitions Analyst
Mr. Gruner joined Holt in March 2014. Previously, Will was an operations manager at McMaster-Carr, a national industrial supply company. Mr. Gruner's private-equity experience includes internships at Wasserstein & Co in New York and Riverlake Partners in Portland.
Mr. Gruner received a B.A. in Economics from Williams College where he was the captain of the Squash team.
Jenny Graves Human Resources and Cost Accounting
Mrs. Graves brings over 15 years of accounting and management experience in land development, home building, commercial construction and real estate. Jenny has been successful in auditing, training staff, implementing software, and setting up efficient systems for maximized profitability in small businesses. Her diverse experience makes her effective in Human Resources and Payroll with the Holt Group. Jenny also works with Holt Project Managers on job reporting and tracking. In her spare time she enjoys being active in the Pacific NW and spending time with her husband and four children.
Chantell Wilsey Contract Manager and Investor Relations
Mrs. Wilsey started at Holt in May of 2008. Prior to her joining our team, Chantell managed a real estate office in Vancouver, WA. She has worked her way up from an Assistant to a Property Manager and then on to Contract Manager. She manages the acquisition and disposition contracts for Holt. She also works directly with our investors in updating their files, sending out quarterly reports and serving as a day-to-day contact. She also worked on the Holt Distressed Property Fund and assists Scott Miller on the Holt Acquisition team.
Janice Miles Accountant
Ms. Miles has been with the company since August 2014. Janice has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an accounting concentration from Oregon State University. She has previous experience as a Certified Public Accountant and as a Finance Manager. Janice works in the accounting department under Krista Harvill-Sorter, CFO, preparing financial statements and financial analysis reports.
Crystal Simensen Construction Manager Assistant
Mrs. Simensen started working at The Holt Group in January of 2007. Crystal was originally hired as the Administrative Assistant and was then moved into our Accounts Payable department, where she managed all aspects of Accounts Payable. Crystal was promoted to the Construction Manager Assistant position as of May 2015. She is responsible for bidding new home plans, maintaining budgets, job costing and subcontractor management for home construction. She continues to support accounting and loan processing for home construction.
Cheryl Walker Property Manager
Mrs. Walker has worked in Portland for the last 20 years managing a portfolio of 500+ units that included commercial and residential before joining the team at Holt in July of 2014. Cheryl is the Property Manager for leased properties. This includes managing homes, mobile home parks, and commercial properties. Cheryl brings a unique knowledge of the Portland MSA as well as excellent experience in managing the diverse array of property management challenges.
Melina Cruz Accounts Payable Manager
Ms. Cruz started with Holt in October of 2009. Since first being hired as the Administrative Assistant, Melina has also assisted in Construction Management as well as Property Management and has just recently been promoted to Accounts Payable. There she is responsible for verifying and processing invoices, processing check requests as well as preparing and performing weekly check runs for the company.
Eva Alvarez Project Manager Assistant
Ms. Alvarez worked for Charter College for five years as an Admissions Assistant/Administrative Assistant prior to joining our team in 2015. Eva started with Holt as the Administrative Assistant and in June of 2016 was promoted to Project Manager Assistant. In her new role, Eva works to support project activity from inception of project through to sale and closeout.
Ryan Eck Home Building Construction Manager
Mr. Eck's focus in the past 15 plus years has been in contruction and project management, real estate, land development, and land acquisition. Ryan's experience includes managing pre-construction phases such as engineering design, planning and entitlement, budget analysis, project feasibility planning, construction administration/management, personnel management, joint venture construction, and infrastructure design and construction. Mr. Eck has a bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Management and a minor in Business Administration from Oregon State University. Mr. Eck manages Holt's home building operation as the department head.
